Summer Projects

This is not a new blog, but it's getting a fresh start.
For me, summer began at noon on Friday, May 2. My final class of my first year of college ended. It was an unbelievably blue-and-green day, warm but not-quite-hot. I returned to my dorm, packed up my life, and moved out the next day. I got back to my hometown on Sunday and have been home for almost three days now.
To get through four months in a small, small town in East Texas without going insane (cow town life is a lot less appealing after a year in the big city), I've assigned myself a number of projects for the summer months. The projects are as follows:

1. Read 15 important books
2. Write a journal entry in Hindi at least once a week
3. Get a summer job
4. Write a rough draft of a novel
5. Earn a driver's license
6. Take a trip to Rhode Island

So far, I've read one book: "Paper Towns" by John Green. It wasn't on the list, so I still have 15 left to read. I'll post my reading list later.

As for summer jobs, I'll apply at the local Hastings and Starbucks. Getting a job isn't absolutely vital, so I'm only applying places that I'd actually like to work.

The trip to Rhode Island will take place in July.
